Installation of Windows Server

    • PC Hardware/software basics
    • Boot options/BIOS Configuration
    • Hardware compatibility with OS
    • Disk Technologies
    • File systems options for disk formatting
    • Installation (Practicals)

Networking Basics

    • LAN hardware (NIC, Hubs, Switches, Cables)
    • TCP/IP protocol and Subnetting
    • Setting up a LAN

Windows components

    • Active Directory and Domain
      1. Installation
      2. Creating users and groups
      3. Configure security Policies
    • DHCP, DNS & WINS Server Installation & configuration
      1. DHCP, DNS and WINS client configuration
    • Web Server Installation and configuration (IIS)
    • Email server for POP3 and SMTP setup
      1. Client configuration (MS Outlook)
    • FTP server installation and configuration
    • Servers access control - Permission, Encryption etc

Troubleshooting tools

    • Ping
    • IPconfig
    • NSLookup
    • Cable testers

Duration: 8 Weeks | Timings: 2.5 hours per day (Monday to Friday)
